Nike put the Alphafly 4 up at $280 and it was gone from the US site in under five minutes. In Europe it disappeared faster than that.
Five minutes. That is how long the most anticipated racing shoe of the fall stayed buyable.
If you missed it, the wait is set: Nike has said a wider release follows on October 29. Between now and then the shoe exists mostly as rumor, resale, and the fall marathon start lines where it will do its actual talking.
