First Man Under 19 Hours Around Mont Blanc
Ben Dhiman ran the Mont Blanc loop faster than anyone ever has, and won by more than half an hour.
The UTMB has been run around Mont Blanc since 2003 and nobody had ever taken it under 19 hours. On Saturday Ben Dhiman did, and he did it without a fight: the Cincinnati native won by more than 30 minutes.
First runner in history under 19 hours. Second American man ever to win the thing.
He called it magic. Everyone else called it a new ceiling. The 171 kilometers and 10,000 meters of climbing did not get any shorter this year, which is the part worth sitting with.
