4,500 Liters of Wine, 20 Tastings, One Marathon

The Marathon des Châteaux du Médoc turned 40. The winners still ran 2:26 and 2:54, and got paid in grands crus.

The Médoc marathon is the one where the aid stations pour Bordeaux. For its 40th edition, roughly 4,500 liters of wine went out on the course, across about 20 tastings between the châteaux.

Florian Laplanche won in 2:26:45. Céline Mérel won the women's race in 2:54:38. The prize is paid in grands crus.

Costumes are the dress code, and the finish is a party, not a chute. If you only run one marathon for the wrong reasons, make it this one. Results at Marathon Handbook.
