A Trail Race Will Pay Its Winners $100,000
Run Rabbit Run is putting $100,000 on each 100 mile champion in 2027 and 2028, believed to be the largest winner's prize in trail running.
The Colorado 100 miler paid each of its winners $20,000 this year. In 2027 and 2028 it will pay $100,000, funded by the staffing firm Insight Global.
That is believed to be the biggest sum any trail race has ever put on a single winner. Steamboat Springs just became the most expensive place in the sport to finish second.
