Your Running Kit Is Full of Holes on Purpose
Mesh, slashes, rips and open weave are everywhere this season. It is not only a look.

Look at anything released this summer and it has been perforated. Open-weave singlets, mesh panels where fabric used to be, hems left raw, holes cut with intent. The running rail has gone from technical to nearly transparent, and it happened fast enough that it reads as a trend rather than a decision.
Outside makes the case that it is both. The holes look good, and they also move heat and sweat off skin, which is the oldest problem in the sport dressed up in this season's silhouette. Fashion and function stopped arguing.
