Miu Miu Flattened the 530 Into a Ballet Shoe
The 530 SL loses its sole and gains a $1,170 price tag in deco leather and delave suede.
Miu Miu and New Balance have been circling the 530 SL for a while. Now they have pressed it flat. The house calls it a meeting of the 530 SL's athletic build and the softer lines of a ballerina, which is a polite way of saying they took a running shoe and removed the running.

It should not work and it entirely does. The sneaker's proportions survive the transfer, so the flat reads as an object with a past rather than a costume. Keep them nowhere near a start line.
