Eight Minutes Faster on the Presidentials
A Canadian trail runner went back to New Hampshire's Presidential Traverse and beat her own speed record.
The Presidential Traverse is the kind of line you look at once and think about for years: an exposed chain of summits in New Hampshire's White Mountains, strung together above the treeline, weather arriving whenever it feels like it.
Webster already held the speed record on it. She went back and took eight minutes off her own mark, which is the rarer and harder kind of record: nobody to chase but a previous version of yourself who already ran it nearly perfectly.
