Pharrell and adidas are releasing a Core Black and Multicolor version of the Adistar Jellyfish, which is the best thing that can happen to a silhouette this loud. The bulky mesh upper and its thick overlays land in dark grey, black and pale blue.
Running shoes went quiet for a few seasons. This is the other direction: a shape you can identify from across a train platform, then drained of colour until only the construction is left to look at. Layer on layer on layer, all of it legible, none of it shouting.
